Shrapnel- Print And Sign

Sydney's Sam Wilkinson (Day Ravies, King Tears Mortuary, Beef Jerk) provides a full length cassette 'Tobacco Dreams' under the moniker Shrapnel. This is the opening track of the album, out May 2014.

"Battling with a dominate bubblegum synth, these sentences aren't all-together decipherable. "Printing my name" or "printing money" or "printing a Monet". The latter seems most likely, given we're currently residing in an age of three-dimensional printers and the increased likelihood that all currencies (physical, imaginary and digital) will be replaced by the bartering system of Fine Art in the very near future. But, in the immortal words of Alvin Nathaniel Joiner — "what's the bloody difference?". All three options assist in summarising the song's core subject matter — the fact that in August we're being forced to trade in our trusty John Handcock's for four-digit numerical values when transacting with our credit cards. You can't hack into my body and steal my signature-writing hand. "
